Cafes offering delicious and filling western breakfast options still exist on HK Island, even as prices everywhere keep climbing! These are places I keep going to and keep recommending in 2026.
Fineprint
- Where: Multiple locations across HK Island (All locations and menu on the official website)
- Fineprint on Instagram

Fineprint’s own freshly-baked sourdoughs are the foundation of their toasts and toasties. Their avo toast, half and half (half avo, half tomato feta salad), and ultimo eggs (chilled smashed eggs) are served over 2 slices of toasted sourdough from $80-$95; and their toasties options at $80 are both hearty options compared to other cafes.
Fineprint also opens across major public holidays (last year I went on 26th December) and at 6am at every location, making it a great option when other places are closed.
Two-and-a-Half Street

My go-to is their chicken brioche that combines sous vide chicken, egg, lettuce and tomato with a subtle but crucial sauce.

A popular dog-friendly spot in the neighborhood that serves great coffee, too.
Coffee Bunnies
- Where: Tai Hang
- Coffee Bunnies on Instagram – for latest exhibition updates
Coffee Bunnies has a very small menu but their All-Day Breakfast (3 options, $88-$98) and toast (2 options, $68 and $78) come with a free cup of hot americano, with the option to change to a different coffee for a charge. And we all know a free cup of coffee is a rare offer in Hong Kong!

Coffee Bunnies is also a social enterprise supporting young people and has a small exhibition space upstairs that features different artists at regular intervals.
First Place Coffee

A coffee specialist offering open toast and toasties with a generous serving of salad on the side.

My favourite’s the chicken tomato toastie (which is not spicy despite the note on the menu!) but their desserts are worth trying as well.
